The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (Bank) has assured a recent data breach is receiving its full attention.
According to the Bank, a detailed forensic cyber investigation is underway. The Bank indicates it is working directly with stakeholders whose information may have been compromised.
The breach was first reported on January 10, 2021. It involved a third-party file sharing service used by the Bank to share and store some sensitive information.
Ongoing updates on the investigation process will be provided via the Reserve Bank Data Breach Response page, and email service.
